CORKCLUB is a sustainability initiative funded by WIDGETCO to benefit Forest and Ocean Conservation. WIDGETCO has been a leading wine cork recycler since 2007. Our objective is to grow wine cork recycling by collecting your corks and donating money to help preserve the Earth. You enjoy the wine and CORKCLUB recycles your corks. For each natural cork received, we donate 2 cents each (less shipping and carbon offsets). For each synthetic cork we receive, we see it gets recycled. It's a simple project with an ambitious goal, to help recycle every wine cork while benefiting Forest and Ocean Conservation.

Our History
CORKCLUB is a wine cork recycling initiative funded by WIDGETCO, a privately held company, and pioneer in the wine cork recycling movement. In 2007, we noticed wine corks weren't being recycled. Recognizing something beautiful in used wine corks, we began sourcing these corks from wine lovers and supplying them to crafters, builders, and artists. For example, a builder placed thousands of wine corks upright to construct a floor in a large wine cellar in Beverly Hills. An Italian restaurant owner in New Jersey covered a ceiling in corks after saving them for 10 years, but ran out half way through the ceiling installation - we were there to help! An artist by the name of Duane Saunders created an art car covered in corks. Another artist, Scott Gunderson, makes beautiful portraits. People continue to create projects that amaze us!

Environmental stewardship is a core philosophy at WidgetCo. We strive to reduce our carbon footprint and are advancing programs to reduce, reuse, repurpose and recycle. WidgetCo, Inc. has already recycled millions of wine corks and contributed over $100,000 to charities and non-profits.
